Ramblings of a tired mom

Not certain what to name this blog, so I am calling it ramblings. I am laying here across my bed with the TV on listening to my baby girl sleep. All is right in this world too bad it is not right with the big picture.

We have a new president, one that I did not vote for but I do hope and pray for him to make the best decisions. So far I am not impressed. He is not winning me over with the choices he has made so far. The Foreign Aid rule to me was a big mistake. Why should we give money to help fund abortions over sees. Buy these people some condoms or get them sterilized but don't kill babies.

Then I don't think the stimlus package he has planned at this point is very good. Taxpayers do not need more debt that we can not pay back. The national debt is climbing too high as it is without adding more pork barrell spending to it.

Well this is about the end of my ramblings tonight, because I have to get up at 5am to get ready to sit through a continuing education class tomorrow for my insurance license. Hopefully the class will be informative!! If not I will be updating my twitter and facebook via my mobilephone. :) Good night all & I promise to try my best to improve on my blogs as time goes on...

My Children

I have two daughters Carrie (20years) and Patricia (4years).

The first thing people ask me when they find out the age difference in my children is "what were you thinking ?". Well, first of all I had Carrie when I was still in high school. Having her young was a struggle but i would not change a minute of it.

I worked full-time and sometimes a part-time job too, while raising Carrie and earning my degree. Things started getting easier when my husband and I started seeing each other when Carrie was 14 years old. We married about 18 months after we started dating.

We had not planned on having any children, see I had cancer in 2001 and the doctors told me that there was a 90% change I would not be able to have any more children. I am so thankful that they were wrong.

In August 2004, I gave birth to Patricia "Tricia". She is the joy of all of our lives. She is 4 now and I think she is going to grow up to be a comedian.
